Regarding the publication of the specifications for TI-M ePA v1.1 and TI-M Pro v1.0, I would like to communicate the current status and the outlook for the coming weeks.
The final release of the mentioned versions is expected to be delayed by a few weeks due to the need for further last-minute coordination. The coordination concerns a single requirement.
The specifications, as they are available in the DRAFT folder on gemSpecPages, thus reflect a very near-final state.
In addition to the specifications, the following approval-relevant documents will also be published:
- gemZul_Prod_TI-M_Pro: Approval of service products here: TI-Messenger Pro with the product types: TI-Messenger Pro Specialized Service and TI-Messenger Pro Client
- gemZul_Prod_ePA_FdV: Approval of products of the telematics infrastructure here: ePA-Frontend of the insured and manufacturer approval ePA-FdV
- gemZul_Prod_TI-M_FD_ePA: Approval of products here: TI-Messenger ePA Specialized Service
- gemZul_Best_Betreiber_TI-M_FD_ePA: Confirmation of operator TI-Messenger ePA Specialized Service
- gemZUL_Anbieter: Procedural description of the approval process for providers of operational services in the telematics infrastructure (TI-M ePA, TI-M Pro)
However, unlike the specifications, these approval-relevant documents are not in the DRAFT folder and can only be made fully available with the release.
It is expected that an agreement and the associated release of the specifications will be possible in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

On October 17, 2024, gematik approved AKQUINET's TI-Messenger solution. With this, the company has received the necessary approvals for its product.
The TI-Messenger is used for real-time communication between healthcare facilities. Initial evaluations from the TI model region Hamburg & surrounding areas show that the TI-Messenger is used for the following applications, for example:
- Clarification of questions regarding prescriptions or medication plans
- Coordination for unavailable medications
- Quick coordination for wound care and organizational uncertainties

This means there is now a second messenger solution in the telematics infrastructure (TI) – and that means more flexibility and seamless communication in healthcare in the future! And it doesn't matter which TI-Messenger is used – all can communicate with each other.
Awesome Technologies' messenger is designed for intersectoral communication and offers features such as chat groups and case-based meetings – a great advantage, for example, for care facilities.
Our CEO Dr. Florian Hartge emphasizes: "With the mandatory requirements, we facilitate cross-sector collaboration and the exchange of actors in the healthcare sector."
